This weekend was such a breeze! We went to a parade with Bridget, Brad and Cate in New Orleans on Saturday and the rain held out for the LaPlace parade on Sunday. The kids were super easy the whole way home, too. We got home in time for them to play with the beads and trinkets while we cleaned out the car, washed clothes and even unpacked our bags. That never happens!
Such an easy weekend get-away!

Erik was waving like crazy at every float and he got really loud when he saw the riders on horses.

Cate didn't like her leash, but I was wishing I had one for Erik. He ran off so quickly.

Erik put the headband on Cate then wanted it right back.

This was the strangest sight...this little boy and his friends had fake cigarettes that had a glowing tip with steam coming out. I overheard a man asking him about it and he showed it to him. Who gives their kids this? He was with a big group of adults and kids so they had to have noticed him walking around with it the whole time. The adults were all smoking so I guess they figure why fight it?
