Mardi gras rain-out

Erik woke up with terrible congestion and coughing so we didn't go to Mardi Gras in New Orleans after all.  The girls were so disappointed, but we made sugar cookies and that pulled them out of their bad mood.  It rained a lot, but it was actually a fun day.  They built a fort with the sofa cushions, had popcorn and a movie, and ended with a bubble bath. 

Sarah sometimes talks and sings to him until I can pick him up.

Sarah spelled the word cat on the felt alphabet board that she got for Christmas. 
I called out the sounds and she found the letters.
